For our Winter Drive 2020, Edge proudly supported the following organisations: PWR Project in partnership with Chauncey’s Epic Anti-Bullying Campaign and the Olympians Social Development and Education (“Olympians”).

The PWR Project teamed up with Chauncey’s Epic Anti Bullying Club and distributed close to 600 meals, along with a cupcake treat, in the Tafelsig and Oasis Farm communities in Mitchells Plain on Saturday, 11 July 2020. Their objective is to create awareness around South African youth that are subjected to bullying or discrimination. The PWR Project also have a feeding outreach project and provide nutritional meals to the community living on Cape Town’s streets.

The Olympians run a soup kitchen in Fisantekraal – a community in the Durbanville area, where they serve around 300 meals per day. They involve the youth in the area to assist with preparing, cooking and serving the community. In this way they are teaching the youth self-worth and how to help others. With our contribution, the Olympians were able to restock their soup kitchens and distribute food parcels to families with little to no income.
